Contact a committee member for help arranging a kata clinic or certification evaluation, obtaining a sanction, and listing the clinic on the USJA event calendar.
Demonstration standards
Kata certification levels
Certification levels recognize progressive skill as uke, tori, coach, and expert practitioner.
Strong demonstration or coaching
Can demonstrate both uke and tori at a reasonably high level, or coach teams that do, but does not yet fit the expert category. Minimum age: 15.
Expert demonstration or coaching
Recognizes expert teams and coaches who prepare teams at the expert level. Minimum age: 18.
